Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Indianapolis First Church of the Nazarene is committed to reaching the lost.  One way we do that is through MISSIONS.  By donating resources, like: money, material items, Bibles, and even hands-on labor,  we are able to reach parts of the globe we may never visit.

What Can We Do To Support Missions Locally?

Thank you to everyone who attended our Virtual Banquet last week. If you weren’t able to make it, on November 4 & 5, Shepherd Executive Director Jay Height hosted six Zoom calls about the six ways Shepherd addresses the cycle of poverty in our neighborhood, a plan we call Re-Neighboring Our Hood.
If you couldn’t make it last week or even want to rewatch a session you attended, we have uploaded all six recorded Zoom calls for you to review on our website. You can watch one or all of these videos addressing the six core areas of emphasis at Shepherd:

Ensuring Stable Housing - Watch session
Feeding the Hungry - Watch session
Providing Quality Education - Watch session
Supporting Physical & Mental Health - Watch session
Engaging Deeper in our Neighborhood- Watch session
Empowering Neighbors to Acquire Sustainable Jobs - Watch session

There’s still time to get involved and make a difference through Shepherd Community. You can join us to Re-Neighbor Our Hood, helping our neighbors on their journey of hope and transformation, by giving today!

2021 VIRTUAL WORK & WITNESS TRIP

IndyFirst participated in the first-ever "VIRTUAL" Work & Witness trip!  Due to COVID restrictions, our NMI (missions auxiliary) was unable to send a team of volunteers to the Dominican Republic (DR) to work on a construction project.  However, the $10,000 project offering did go  - thanks to your faithful giving to Faith Promise!  Although our volunteers missed the opportunity to bless the people of the DR and share in the physical labor of the construction, our absence has provided employment and paychecks for residents in these unprecedented  times.
You are invited to follow the progress of the W&W project and meet our missionaries via these videos.
