NOTE - FIRST CHURCH IS AVAILABLE TO THE RED CROSS AS AN "ALTERNATE" RED CROSS SHELTER SITE IN THE EVENT OF A LOCAL DISASTER. HOWEVER, THE RED CROSS WILL NOT OPEN FIRST CHURCH AS A SHELTER UNLESS THE PRIMARY SHELTER IS DAMAGED, UNSAFE, OR OTHERWISE UNABLE TO OPEN.
TRAINING EVENTS FOR THE FIRST CHURCH RED CROSS SHELTER:
Mock Disaster Drill - schedule to be determined. Light breakfast and lunch provided for those who stay the entire time. Role players of disaster "victims" of all ages needed to make this drill as realistic as possible. Individualsof all ages or entire families are encouraged to participate from 8:30am-12:00. No special skills or acting ability required.
