NOTE - FIRST CHURCH IS AVAILABLE TO THE RED CROSS AS AN "ALTERNATE" RED CROSS SHELTER SITE IN THE EVENT OF A LOCAL DISASTER. HOWEVER, THE RED CROSS WILL NOT OPEN FIRST CHURCH AS A SHELTER UNLESS THE PRIMARY SHELTER IS DAMAGED, UNSAFE, OR OTHERWISE UNABLE TO OPEN.
TRAINING EVENTS FOR THE FIRST CHURCH RED CROSS SHELTER:
Session II for Red Cross Action Team Volunteer Certification will be held on Saturday morning, March 13th from 8:00am-12:00.
Mock Disaster Drill - scheduled for Saturday, March 27th 8:00am-1:00pm at First Church. Light breakfast and lunch provided for those who stay the entire time. Pretend disaster "victims" of all ages needed to role-play to make this drill as realistic as possible. Individuals or entire families are encouraged to participate from 8:30am-12:00.
